Los Angeles duo LMFAO achieve their first Irish No1 single this week as ‘Party Rock Anthem’ climbs to the top of the Chart from last week’s No3. Jennifer Lopez (feat Pitbull) drops a place to No2 with ‘On The Floor’ while Adele’s ‘Someone Like You’ also drops one place from No2 to No3.
Lady Gaga claims this week’s highest new entry with ‘Judas’ – the second track to be taken from her forthcoming album – which enters the Chart at No4 while Snoop Dogg vs David Guetta’s ‘Sweat’ drops a place to complete the Top 5.
Adele takes an eleventh week at No1 on this week’s Album Chart having now sold over 100,000 copies with one of the fastest selling albums of the last 5 years. Her previous album ‘19’ also climbs back up the Chart to No2 to give her the top 2 spots for the second time this year. Mary Byrne drops a place to No3 with ‘Mine & Yours’, The Foo Fighters also drop a place to No4 with ‘Wasting Light’ while The Glee Cast hold steady at No5 with ‘The Music: Vol 5’. The High Kings are this week’s highest new entry with their ‘Live In Ireland’ release, recorded on their 2010 tour, which enters at No13. This is their third album to show in the Irish Charts – 2008’s ‘The High Kings’ entered the Chart at No9 while last year’s ‘Memory Lane’ debuted at No5. Cork’s Fred achieve their best showing on the Album Chart as their third release ‘Leaving My Empire’ enters the Chart at No23 ahead of 2008’s ‘Go God Go’ which debuted at No30.
