Chart Victory For Jedward


Jedward emerge victorious this week as their second album ‘Victory’ flies straight in at the top of the Album Chart with the second highest first week sales this year, echoing the success of last years ‘Planet Jedward’ which also went straight to No1 on release. Adele’s recent reign at the top is ended as she drops to No2 with ‘21’ while Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back To Black’ drops a place to No3.

Jay-Z and Kanye West’s new collaboration, ‘Watch The Throne’, provides the next new entry as the digital version alone affords it a Top 10 position at No9, a week ahead of its physical release. The Cast of  Glee also enter the chart this week with their fourth album release of 2011, ‘The 3D Concert Movie Soundtrack’ which enters at No21 while Trivium complete the new entries in the Top 30 as their fifth studio album, ‘In Waves’ enters at No26, a better placing than their last release, 2008’s ‘Shogun’ which debuted at No30.

The Wanted’s ‘Glad You Came’ holds on to the top spot on the Singles Chart for a fifth week despite a surge in sales for Christina Perri whose ‘Jar Of Hearts’ leaps to No2 from No23 after a nine week climb up the chart. Cher Lloyd drops a place to No3 with ‘Swagger Jagger’, JLS Feat. Dev also drop a place to No4 with ‘She Makes Me Wanna’ while Ed Sheeran continues his climb up the chart to complete the Top 5, taking ‘The A Team’ up a place from last weeks No6. Bruno Mars also sees a jump up the chart as ‘Marry You’ rises from No21 to make the Top 10 at No7.
