Dead Island's Holiday at No1 Extended for a 2nd Week

Deep Silver’s ‘Dead Island’ holds on to No1 in the All Formats Chart, selling more in 2 weeks than any other Deep Silver title has sold in its lifetime.


The Xbox 360 version remains the biggest selling version, but its share has dropped from 68% to 51%, while PS3’s share has gone up from 29% to 47%, overtaking ‘Resistance 3’ at the top of the PS3 Full Price chart. There is also no change at No2, despite sales of THQ’s ‘Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine’ dropping by 52%. After last week’s 4 new entries in the Top 10, this week we have to settle for just one title entering the Top 40: Sony’s ‘God of War Collection Volume II’ new at No35. Sony’s ‘Resistance 3’ (-44%) manages to nudge up one place to No3, while Ubisoft’s ‘Driver: San Francisco’ (-53%) drops one place to No4. No5 and No6 are occupied by non-movers ‘Deus Ex: Human Revolution’ (-31%) and ‘Zumba Fitness’ (-10%). The only Top 10 titles to increase in sales this week are both the Lego games – ‘Lego Pirates of the Caribbean’ (+12%) up one place to No7 and ‘Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4’ (+12%) returning to the Top 10, up from No15 to No9. 505 Games and Disney are the only publishers with two games in the Top 10 as ‘Rugby World Cup 2011’ (-15%) slips one place to No8 and ‘Cars 2’ (-14%) sneaks one place, up to No10.

Price promotion on ‘Red Faction: Armageddon’ (+246%) propels it back into the Top 40 at No11, while a better second week sees Sega’s Kinect title ‘Rise of Nightmares’ (+50%) climb to a more respectable No18 from a debut at No37.
