Two and a half years later... The Sims is No1 again


The All Software (All Formats) Top 40 sees EA’s ‘The Sims’ back at No1 after a break of 2 and a half years, as the first of the console versions (PS2) debuts this week.

Rockstar/Take 2 remain at No2 with PS2 ‘Grand Theft Auto: Vice City’, while Sony’s PS2 ‘The Getaway’ drops from No1 to No3. EA take No’s 4-7 with PC ‘Sim City 4’ at No4, ‘FIFA 2003’ at No5, ‘James Bond 007: Nightfire’ at No6 and ‘Lord Of The Rings – The Two Towers’ at No7. Konami remain at No8 with PSX ‘Dancing Stage Party Edition’, EA take No9 with ‘Harry Potter – Chamber Of Secrets’ and Konami take No10 with PSX ‘Dancing Stage Euromix’. The All Software (Budget Price) Top 40 sees the top 2 changing places as Universal/Vivendi’s PS2 ‘Crash Bandicoot – Wrath Of Cortex’ climbs back to No1 and EA drop to No2 with PSX/PC ‘Harry Potter – Philosopher’s Stone’. Disney/Sony’s PSX/PS2/PC ‘Monsters, Inc.’ climbs 13 places to No3, Activision’s PSX/PS2/XB/GC ‘Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3’ climbs one place to No4 and Sony’s PS2 ‘Gran Turismo 3’ climbs 7 places to No5.
