Ghost Recon Future Soldier Holds No1

It’s a third successive week at No1 for Ubisoft’s ‘Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier’ (-48%). So far in 2012 only two other titles have managed to hold on at No1 for three weeks or more and they are both FIFA games (FIFA 12 with 4 weeks and FIFA Street with 3).

There is also no change in the next two places as ‘Max Payne 3’ (-36%) at No2 is almost usurped by a resurgent ‘FIFA 12’ (+48%) at No3 (perhaps boosted in part by the start of Euro 2012). ‘Battlefield 3’ (+42%) is this week’s biggest Top 10 climber, up from No8 to No4, ahead of ‘Sniper Elite V2’ (+18%) which rises one place to No5. ‘Game of Thrones’ from Focus Home Interactive/Koch is the only new title to break into the Top 40, debuting at No6. The rest of the Top 10 is occupied by familiar faces – ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’ (-5%) at No7, ‘FIFA Street’ (+21%) at No8 and ‘Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games’ (+26%) at No9.

In its third week of release, ‘Dirt Showdown’ (-19%) just manages to hold on to a Top 10 placing, down 3 places to No10. There is a re-entry at No22 for ‘Diablo III’ (+543%) which signals renewed stock of the critically acclaimed Blizzard title, while a retailer promotion helps propel ‘Wii Fit Plus’ (+279%) back into the Top 40 at No31.
