Destiny Fulfilled

19/Nov/2004

After 2 weeks at No3, a 17% increase in sales is enough to lift Destiny's Child's 'Lose My Breath' to the top of the Singles Chart - their 2nd No1 single in Ireland following 'Survivor' which spent a week at the top in April 2001.

Eminem has a third week at No2 with 'Just Lose It', followed at No3 by U2's 'Vertigo', down from No1 last week. Girls Aloud register their 7th Irish Top 10 single with 'I'll Stand By You', which is this week's highest new entry at No4, while Chris Doran has the next new entry at No8 with his third single 'Right Here Waiting' - for both Girls Aloud and Chris Doran it's a 100% Top 10 hit-rate with all their singles. Eminem's 'Encore' debuts at the top of the Albums Chart this week and becomes the fastest-selling album of the year so far in Ireland. It's his fourth Irish No1 album - three solo (Marshall Mathers LP, Eminem Show and Encore) and one with D12 (D12 World). Britney Spears' 'Greatest Hits' falls one place to No2, Westlife's 'Allow Us To Be Frank' drops to No3 and Mario Rosenstock's 'Gift Grub' drops to No4. Destiny's Child have this week's highest new entry at No6 with 'Destiny Fulfilled' and Neil Young's 'Greatest Hits' is the next highest new entry at No8.
