Band Aid 20's 'Do They Know It's Christmas?' holds for a fourth week at the top of the Singles Chart to claim this year's Christmas No1. In each week since release, Band Aid 20 has accounted for one in three of all singles sold in Ireland, and in the process tops the 2004 best-seller chart. Jay-Z and Linkin Park's 'Numb/Encore' is a non-mover at No2, ditto Girls Aloud's 'I'll Stand By You' at No3. The X Factor winner Steve Brookstein has this week's only Top 40 new entry at No11 with 'Against All Odds' - failing to match Mariah Carey and Westlife's cover of the same Phil Collins song, which debuted at No1 in September 2000.
U2 have this year's Christmas No1 Album with 'How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb' taking a fifth consecutive week at the top of the chart since release. Paddy Casey's 'Living' climbs 5 places from No7 to No2 - even better than the No9 placing in last year's Christmas chart for this album which was released back in November 2003. Il Divo drop one place to No3, ahead of Westlife's 'Allow Us To Be Frank' at No4, up from No10 last week.
