Atomic debut for U2

26/Nov/2004

No surprises on the Albums Chart this week as U2 storm in at No1 with 'How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb', which is the 3rd fastest-selling album since Chart-Track records began in 1992, behind two of their previous albums: 'Best Of 1980-1990' (1998) and 'All That You Can't Leave Behind' (2000).

Britney Spears 'Greatest Hits' holds at No2, ahead of last week's No1 Eminem's 'Encore' which falls to No3. There are 2 more new entries in this week's Top 10: Liam Lawton's 'Another World' at No7 and Kylie Minogue's 'Ultimate Kylie' at No8. Destiny's Child have a second week at the top of the Singles Chart with 'Lose My Breath', denying Brian McFadden a second No1 - 'Irish Son', his follow-up to 'Real To Me' which spent 4 weeks at the top, comes in at No2 this week. Eminem falls one place to No3 with 'Just Lose It', followed by 3 non-movers: Girls Aloud's 'I'll Stand By You' at No4, Shannon Noll's 'What About Me' at No5 and Christina Aguilera's 'Car Wash' at No6.
