Sales surge for Band Aid

Band Aid 20's 'Do They Know It's Christmas?' takes a second week at the top of the Singles Chart, with sales increasing 30% over last week and accounting for one in three of all singles sold in Ireland this week. Destiny's Child's 'Lose My Breath' holds at No2 for a second week, still ahead of Girls Aloud's 'I'll Stand By You' at No3. Kylie Minogue has this week's highest new entry at No9 with 'Believe In You'.


U2 have a third week at the top of the Albums chart this week with 'How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb', ahead of Mario Rosenstock's 'Gift Grub 2004' which climbs 2 places from No4 to No2. Robbie Williams' 'Greatest Hits' surges 7 places from No10 to No3 as Eminem's 'Encore' slides from No2 to No4. With most of the big new Christmas releases already on the shelves, Horslips claim this week's highest new entry at No20 with 'Roll Back'.
