Happy Days For Ellie

Ellie Goulding holds at No1 on the Album Chart for a second week with 'Halcyon Days'.

She heads a Top 10 virtually unchanged since last week, with Beyoncé at No2, One Direction at No3 and Emeli Sandé at No4. The stability means that six of this week's Top 10 titles are current or former No1's - and there's not a single new entry in the entire Top 100.

The post-Christmas inertia also hits the Singles Chart this week, with Pharrell taking a second week at No1 with 'Happy' and very little significant movement throughout the chart. Ellie Goulding is an exception, with 'How Long Will I Love You' moving back into the Top 10 from No12 to No7. Also bucking the trend is Lady Gaga, up from No39 to No15 with 'Do What U Want'. Originally released on her 'Artpop' album as a duet with R. Kelly, the track is now reissued with Christina Aguilera following their performance of the song on last month's final of The Voice (USA).
