Ghost Returns

Ella Henderson's 'Ghost' can't keep away from the top of the Singles Chart, climbing back to the No1 spot from No2 to take a fifth week at the summit.

This is the first time in recent chart history that a track has returned to the top spot three times - Pharrell Williams came close earlier in the year when he returned to No1 twice with 'Happy'. Ariana Grande also climbs back up the chart this week taking 'Problem' (feat. Iggy Azalea) back to No2 from last week's No5, while Cheryl Cole drops from No1 to complete the Top 3 with 'Crazy Stupid Love'. You have to go some way down the chart for this week's highest new entries: Troye Sivan's 'Happy Little Pill' at No38, his debut release since signing to a major label, and The Script at No40 with 'It's Not Right For You', the first track off their forthcoming album.

There's no change at the top of this week's Album Chart, with Garth Brooks taking a fifth week at No1 with 'The Ultimate Hits', ahead of Ed Sheeran's 'X' at No2 and 5 Seconds Of Summer at No3. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers provide this week's highest new entry with 'Hypnotic Eye' at No13. This is their thirteenth studio album in a career spanning 38 years and it outperforms their previous release 'Mojo' which debuted at No28 in 2010. Another industry veteran claims the only other new entry in this week's Top 50: Eric Clapton takes his latest album 'The Breeze - An Appreciation Of JJ Cale' into the chart at No14. This is an improvement on the No29 debut and peak for his last album 'Old Sock' in 2013.
