Jennifer Gets It Right

18/Feb/2005

Jennifer Lopez debuts at No1 on the Singles Chart with 'Get Right' - her first Irish No1, and the fourth different title to top the chart in as many weeks.

Brian & Delta's 'Almost Here' drops back to No2, ahead of Eminem's 'Like Toy Soldiers' which climbs 2 places to No3. Eminem's label-mates The Game and 50 Cent have this week's next highest new entry at No10 with 'How We Do'. The Killers' 'Hot Fuss' dominates the Albums Chart again this week, making it five weeks at No1. After 22 weeks in the Top 30, including 15 weeks in the Top 10, Green Day climb back to No2 from No3 last week with 'American Idiot'. The chart this week is heavily influenced by both Valentine's Day and the Brits, with love-themed compilations (Phil Collins, Elvis Presley) and Brits winners & performers (Scissor Sisters, Keane, Franz Ferdinand, Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg) all climbers in the Top 30 this week.
