Mumfords Run Wild

Mumford & Sons land at No1 on the Album Chart with 'Wilder Mind' - their third No1 from three releases, in the wake of 'Sigh No More' (2009) and 'Babel' (2012).

Blur's 'The Magic Whip' dips to No2 after debuting on top last week, one place ahead of Hozier who maintains a 33-week unbroken run in the Top 4 since the release of his eponymous debut album last September. The second new entry of the week is at No30 for My Morning Jacket with their seventh studio release 'The Waterfall'. This represents a major breakthrough in Ireland for the Kentucky band - their only other appearance on this chart was for one week (at No75) with their previous album 'Circuital' in 2011. The third and final new entry in this week's Top 50 is at No31 for Django Django with 'Born Under Saturn', the follow-up to their critically acclaimed debut album which reached No63 on the Irish Chart back in 2012.

It couldn't be closer at the top of the Singles Chart, with the top 2 matching each other on both sales and streams. Wiz Khalifa emerges at the top of the pile to take a fourth week at No1 with 'See You Again', just ahead of Omi's 'Cheerleader' at No2. Major Lazer continues to climb steadily in the right direction, moving up six places from No9 to No3 with 'Lean On' (feat. DJ Snake and Mʬ). This week's highest new entry is at No11 for Robin Schulz with 'Sun Goes Down' (feat. Jasmine Thompson), his second appearance in the Irish Top 20 following 'Prayer In C' with Lilly Wood which spent four weeks at No1 last year.
