Lego builds on the Star Wars franchise to claim No2 behind Midnight Club 3

Rockstar/Take 2’s ‘Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition’ (PS2/XB) grabs top spot in the Entertainment All Formats Chart up from No2 to No1, just 483 sales ahead of Giant Interactive/Eidos’ ‘Lego Star Wars’ (PS2/XB/PC/GBA) which debuts at No2, ahead of EA’s ‘FIFA Street’ which drops from No1 to No3.

However ‘FIFA Street’ remains No1 in the PS2 Full Price Chart ahead of ‘Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition’ at No2 and ‘Lego Star Wars’ at No3. Rockstar/Take 2 actually get their first All Formats No1 for a Midnight Club game with the latest PS2 version selling faster than its predecessors (up 9% on last week). Microsoft have the only other Top 10 new entry with the critically acclaimed RPG ‘Jade Empire’ at No7 (No1 in the Xbox Full Price Chart) with developer Bioware moving away from the Star Wars franchise which brought them a No1 10 weeks ago with ‘Knights of the Old Republic II’. There are 2 other new entries this week – Take 2’s ‘Stronghold 2’ (PC) at No17 and Midway’s ‘Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict’ (XB) at No25.
