X Marks The Top Spot... For It's Xth Visit


Ed Sheeran sees his album 'X' make its ninth climb back up the charts to spend its 18th week at No1, beating Adele's previous record of 9 revisits back to the top spot with her album '21'.

Bring Me The Horizon's brand new studio album 'That's The Spirit' is this week's highest new entry at No4 . This gives them their highest position on this chart - their previous best being 2013's 'Sempiternal' which debuted at No33. This week's Top 20 Albums sees another four new entries; Richard Hawley's 'Hollow Meadows' entering at No7 - not quite a match for his last release 'Standing At The Sky's Edge' which debuted at No6. Following closely are The Libertines' first album in 11 years, 'Anthems For Doomed Youth' in at No10. Stereophonics join this week's new entries with 'Keep The Village Alive' at No14, followed closely by Slayer's 'Repentless' at No15.

With no new entries into this week's Top Singles Charts, Justin Bieber retains his No1 spot for a third consecutive week - heading an unchanged Top 5 since last week's charts. The Weeknd hold onto their No2 spot with 'Can't Feel My Face' and Calvin Harris & Disciples stay at No3 with 'How Deep Is Your Love'.
