Adele takes the Christmas Crown


Adele takes the Christmas No1 on this Week's Album Chart giving her a fifth week at the top as '25' has its biggest selling week so far - selling more than the rest of the Top 5 combined.

Justin Bieber holds steady at No2 with 'Purpose', Elvis Presley/RPO's 'If I Can Dream' moves up a place to No3 and Nathan Carter takes No4 with 'Beautiful Life At Christmas'. There are a few new entries in the lower reaches of the chart this week - John Williams enters at No37 with his soundtrack to the latest Star Wars film 'The Force Awakens' - while the UCD Scholars make their debut on this Chart with 'Invisible Stars' entering at No50. Chris Brown also acheives a Chart entry with his seventh studio album 'Royalty' entering at No51.

Justin Bieber is without doubt king of the Singles Chart this week he occupies the top three spots: 'Love Yourself' takes a second week at No1 and with it the Christmas title, 'Sorry' holds steady at No2 and 'What Do You Mean'? moves up a place to No3. Adele's 'Hello' drops to No4 while X-Factor winner Louisa Johnson climbs from No12 to No5 with 'Forever Young'.
