Adele & Mark Ronson Top The Charts For 2015

As the year draws to an end, Justin Bieber and Adele hold onto their pole positions at the top of each chart - '25' still at No1 in the Album Chart and 'Love Yourself' at No1 in the Singles Chart.

Despite his dominance of the Singles Charts towards the end of this year, Justin Bieber does not make the Top 5 Singles of 2015 - his highest placing is at No9 with 'What Do You Mean?'. It is Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars' 2014 release 'Uptown Funk' that tops the Singles Chart of the year. Omi's 'Cheerleader' proves to be the second best seller of 2015 while Major Lazer & DJ Snake/MO take No3 with 'Lean On'. Ed Sheeran achieves No4 with 'Thinking Out Loud' and Wiz Khalifa feat. Charlie Puth complete the Top 5 with their single 'See You Again'. Other notable singles this year include Adele unsurprisingly with 'Hello' at No7 and James Bay at No10 with 'Hold Back The River'. Looking at the Top Albums of 2015, Adele storms to No1 with '25' - selling almost twice as many units since its release just over a month ago as Ed Sheeran's 'X', which is at No2 despite having been on record store shelves for over 18 months. Similarly, Hozier's 'Hozier' which took the No2 spot in the 2014 Album Chart retains its popularity to take the No3 spot this year. Finally Justin Bieber is the only other new entry into this year's Top 5 Albums with 'Purpose' at No5.
