A Groundbreaking Week for Bieber.

With the first Charts of 2016 now available, Justin Bieber kicks off the year in style by acheiving a first in the Irish Music Charts - gaining a triple top spot in the Singles Chart as well as a No1 album.

Justin's 'Love Yourself', 'Sorry', and 'What Do You Mean?' take Nos 1, 2 & 3 in the Singles Chart whilst Adele's 'Hello' holds No4 and Shawn Mendes' 'Stitches' reaches No5. With no new entries into this week's Top 50, the charts eagerly await 2016's new releases with hopes for a shake-up.

After an eight week stint in the Albums Chart, Justin Bieber finally achieves No1 with his latest studio album 'Purpose' - narrowly beating Adele's '25' which stands at No2. In the process he achieves the 'double' - topping both the Singles and Albums Chart. Fifteen artists have acheived this in the last ten years - the last of which was James Bay last year. Ed Sheeran continues to contribute to the big sellers this week, with 'X' at No3. One Direction's 'Made In The A.M.' stands at No4 this week while Nathan Carter's 'Beautiful Life At Christmas' hits No5. Similar to the Singles Chart, there are no new entries into this week's Top 50.
