Walking on Cars still cruising ahead!

19/Feb/2016

This week's music charts see little change from last week. With Walking on Cars' debut album 'Everything This Way' remaining at the top for a third week in a row, Adele holds No2 with '25' whilst Justin Bieber's 'Purpose' retains his No3 spot from last week.

Following a ticket + CD promotion, Bruce Springsteen's ever-charting 'Greatest Hits' album rises 12 places from No16 last week to No4 this week, giving it its highest chart position since 2013. Nathan Carter's 'Beautiful Life' climbs to No5 from No10 last week to knock Coldplay's 'A Head Full Of Dreams' down a spot to No6. The only new entry into this week's Album Chart is Ronan Keating with his tenth solo studio album 'Time Of My Life' - joining at No26. Similarly, there is a distinct lack of new entries into this week's Singles Chart coupled with a very subtle shuffling of leading singles - Lukas Graham's '7 Years' has overtaken ex One-Directioner Zayn's 'Pillowtalk' to achieve the Danish soul-pop outfit a first No1 in these charts. No3 remains Jonas Blue feat. Dakota's cover of Tracy Chapman's 'Fast Car' followed by Justin Bieber's 'Love Yourself' still at No4 and similarly Shawn Mendes' 'Stiches' at No5. This week's highest climber is Adele with the latest release from her recent album '25' - 'When We Were Young' climbing 23 places from No46 to No24.
