2Pac 2 Weeks

08/Jul/2005

2Pac, with a little help from Elton John, has a second week at No1 on the Singles Chart with ‘Ghetto Gospel’, ahead of Crazy Frog’s ‘Axel F’ which holds at No2 and Zoo who have this week’s highest new entry at No3 with ‘I Wanna Be Your Lover’.
This is Zoo’s second Top 3 hit, following their debut single ‘Poison/I Believe’ which entered the chart at No1 back in January.

James Blunt continues to climb the chart with ‘You’re Beautiful’ up from No7 to No4 after 6 weeks in the Top 40, edging ahead of Akon’s ‘Lonely’ at No5 and Mariah Carey who has this week’s second highest entry at No6 with ‘We Belong Together’- her best showing on this chart since spending 3 weeks at No1 with Westlife and ‘Against All Odds’. There’s no change at the top end of the Albums Chart this week - James Blunt’s ‘Back To Bedlam’ holds at No1 for a second week, followed at No2 by Coldplay’s ‘X&Y’ and at No3 by Foo Fighters ‘In Your Honour’. Several stars of Live 8 see major gains in the chart following their performances on Saturday: The Killers at No7, Keane at No10, Pink Floyd at No29, Scissor Sisters at No35, Elton John at No44 and Joss Stone at No46.
