Mike Denver Dominates the Top Spot!

22/Apr/2016

Having been awarded 'Vocalist of the Year' at the Hot Country Awards this week, Mike Denver achieves No1 with his latest album 'Cut Loose'.

Also shaking up the top of the charts this week is PJ Harvey at No2 with her ninth studio album entitled 'The Hope Six Demolition Project' - giving her her most successful release in these charts to date. Still at No3 is Smokie's 'Best of Smokie' whilst Walking on Cars' 'Everything This Way' drops to No4 from No2 last week. With these changes pushing Adele down to No5 with '25', Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' achieve this week's biggest climber with 'This Unruly Mess I've Made' going from No23 last week to No7 this week. Italian tenor Friar Alessandro achieves No21 with his 2015 album 'Voice of Peace' as Sturgill Simpson grabs the No39 spot with his third studio album entitled 'A Sailor's Guide to Earth'. This week also sees a handful of Prince 'Best Of' albums re-enter into the Top40 following the sad news of his death on Thursday.

Again, this week sadly sees an almost entirely unchanged Top5 in the Singles Chart. Sia and Sean Paul remain at No1 with 'Cheap Thrills' as no new releases make it into this week's Top50. Finally, this week's biggest climber in the Singles Chart is Drake feat Wizkid & Kyla with their track 'One Dance' - at No5 this week from No40 last week.
