The Glastonbury Effect...

01/Jul/2016

Having headlined Glastonbury Festival last weekend, Adele sees a boost in sales of her latest album '25' and climbs from No9 last week - returning to the top for a fourth time, making a total of 15 weeks at No1.

Hanging in at No2 is Beyonce with 'Lemonade' whilst The Red Hot Chili Peppers' latest album 'The Getaway' drops from last week's No1 spot to No3 this week. Followed by Drake's 'Views' at No4, Christine and the Queens drop two places to No5 with 'Chaleur Humaine'. New releases include Neil Young + Promise of the Real's 'Earth' at No27 - streaming solely on Tidal to complement the physical CD available in stores. Ramin Djawadi's score for Game of Thrones Season 6 enters at No45 following the airing of the season finale last Sunday whilst DJ Shadow joins at No65 with 'The Mountain Will Fall'.

This week's Singles Charts sees little change with no new entries into this week's Top50; Drake feat. Wizkid & Kyla remain at No1 with 'One Dance', Calvin Harris feat. Rihanna hold No2 with 'This Is What You Came For' and Kungs & Cookin' on 3 Burners makes it up to No3 from No5 last week with 'This Girl'.
