Oh! Another Hit For Ciara


Ciara maintains her 100% record of Top 10 debuts this week with her third single ‘Oh’ (featuring Ludacris) entering at No7, following in the footsteps of ‘Goodies’ which came in at No4 and ‘1, 2 Step’ which came in at No3 earlier this year. In addition to her solo success, she also features on Missy Elliott’s ‘Lose Control’ which holds at No18 after 5 weeks on the chart.

Meanwhile at the top James Blunt has a third week at No1 with ‘You’re Beautiful’ – with ‘Back To Bedlam’ still at No1 on the Album Chart he becomes the first artist to top both charts for 3 consecutive weeks since Nickelback in April 2002 (How You Remind Me/Silver Side Up). Michael Jackson’s ‘The Essential’ has a second week at No2 on the Albums Chart this week, ahead of Green Day’s ‘American Idiot’ which has a fourth consecutive week at No3. The Kaiser Chiefs move up from No7 to No4 with ‘Employment’, their highest Irish chart position to date after 22 weeks in the Top 75. In another quiet week for new releases, this week’s only new entry is Lee Ryan with his self-titled debut coming in at No42.
