Make way for a new Top Three!

19/Aug/2016

After a summer of few notable releases, this week's Top3 slots are dominated by newcomers. Irish pop-rockers Picture This achieve their first No1 in these charts with their eponymous debut EP.

Similarly, All Tvvins achieve No2 with their first release 'LLVV', leaving No3 open to Glaswegian born country star Lisa McHugh with her latest album entitled '#Country'. These new entries see Drake's 'Views' drop two places to No4 and last week's No1 'Chaleur Humaine' from Christine and the Queens drops to No5 this week, putting an end to its No1 spree. The only other new entry into this week's Top40 include the soundtrack to Netflix's 'Stranger Things' at No18, scored by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein.

In the Singles Chart we see no change to the No1 - still 'Cold Water' by Major Lazer feat. Justin Bieber & MO. DJ Snake helps Justin Bieber claim another position in the Top5 with their 'Let Me Love You' at No2. One of this week's biggest movers sits at No3 - 'Closer' from Chainsmokers feat. Halsey, moving to No3 from No12 last week. With Twenty One Pilots' 'Heathens' at No4 and Jonas Blue feat. J.P Cooper's 'Perfect Strangers' at No5, there are no new entries into the Top50 this week.
