Howzat! Brian Lara gets a second innings at No1

15/Aug/2005

Last week Activision’s six format ‘Madagascar’ returned to No1 in the All Formats Top 40 - this week it is Codemasters turn. ‘Brian Lara International Cricket 2005’ (PS2/XB/PC) is back at the top, up from No3, while ‘Madagascar’ drops one place to No2.

Activision’s other movie license game ‘Fantastic 4’ is close behind, moving up one place to No3. Activision also claim the highest re-entry thanks to the heavily promoted ‘Call of Duty: Finest Hour’ (PS2/XB/GC) which is back in the Top 40 at No14. It is a good week for cricket games with EA’s PS2/XB/PC ‘Cricket 2005’ up from No7 to No5 boasting the only increase in sales of any Top 10 game this week (up 2%). The kick-off to the new Premiership football season brings with it this week’s only new entry, Zoo Digital’s ‘Premier Manager 2005-2006’, making its debut at No27.
