Not out! Brian Lara No1 in an unchanged batting order

22/Aug/2005

In another quiet week for the software market, the Top 3 games in the All Formats Entertainment Chart are all non-movers with Codemasters’ ‘Brian Lara International Cricket 2005’ (PS2/XB/PC) holding on to No1 followed by Activision’s multi-format movie licenses ‘Madagascar’ and ‘Fantastic 4’ sticking to No2 and No3 respectively. More sales are squeezed from THQ’s ‘Juiced’ (PS2/XB/PC) with retailer reductions pushing it back up the chart from No9 to No4.

There are no new entries, but strong budget pricing on PC software has led to several games making a reappearance in the All Formats Top 40, most notably Empire’s ‘Sonic 3D’ (PC) which blasts back into the chart at No 13 and Sega’s ‘Football Manager 2005’ (PC) – back at No23. Codemasters not only claim the No1 spot, but also have this week’s highest Top 40 climber with ‘Worms 4: Mayhem’, up 13 places from No24 to No11.
