Metal, Rise!

25/Nov/2016

With the release of their tenth studio album 'Hardwired... To Self-Destruct' Metallica storm straight to the top of this week's Album Chart. This marks their third time at No1 in these charts since records began - also their third consecutive album to debut at No1, following St. Anger back in 2003 and Death Magnetic in 2008.

In at No2 are X-Factor winners Little Mix with their fourth studio album 'Glory Days'. Last week's No1, 'You Want it Darker', Leonard Cohen's final album drops two places to No3, leaving No4 open for Bruno Mars with his latest studio album '24K Magic' at No4. Following is Olly Murs, dropping from No2 last week to No5 this week with 24Hrs. Other new entries into the Top50 this week include Tommy Fleming's 'Stories' at No26 and Youtuber Dodie with her debut EP 'Intertwined' at No33. The last of this week's new entries can be found further down the charts, US funk pop dance-rockers DNCE enter at No76 with their eponymous debut album.

With the Singles Chart rarely showing any new entries, Clean Bandit feat Sean Paul & Anne-Marie retain their No1 spot with 'Rockabye', as does James Arthur at No2 with 'Say You Won't Let Go'. Rae Sremmurd fear Gucci Mane climb 10 places to No3 with 'Black Beatles' as Little Mix hold onto No4 with 'Shout Out To My Ex'. With Chainsmokers feat. Halsey at No5 with 'Closer', the only new entry into this week's Top50 is 'I Feel It Coming' from The Weeknd feat. Daft Punk at No28.
