Thirteen is lucky for some

It is X-Factor contestants, past and present, that make up the new entries into this week's Top 40 Singles Chart.

With no change at the top - Clean Bandit hold onto the No1 slot for a fourth week with 'Rockabye' - it is One Direction's Louis Tomlinson who takes this week's highest new entry. After his live appearance on the final of the thirteenth series of X-Factor last Saturday, his latest solo single 'Just Hold On' (with Steve Aoki) enters the chart at No18. The next new entry goes to this year's X-Factor winner Matt Terry whose 'When Christmas Comes Around' enters the chart at No31. Louis Tomlinson's former bandmate Zayn Malik takes the third new entry as his collaboration with Taylor Swift, 'I Don't Wanna Live Forever', comes into the Chart at No35. Two Christmas perennials continue to climb the charts - Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' moves up to No6 while The Pogues with Kirsty MacColl's 'Fairytale Of New York' climbs to No12.

Leonard Cohen swaps places with Little Mix to take 'You Want It Darker' back to No1 on this week's Album Chart for a fourth week at the top. There is just one new entry in this week's Top 40 as J.Cole takes his fourth studio release. '4 Your Eyez Only' into the Chart at No19 - giving him his best showing on this Chart to date.
