‘Shadow of the Colossus’ remastered for PS4 debuts at No1 pushing ‘Monster Hunter: World’ down to No3.
The original PS2 title also debuted at No1, back in W7 2006, however launch week sales of the new PS4 version are 73% greater than that of its predecessor. It is the 8th different Sony-format exclusive to reach No1 since the beginning of last year. ‘EA Sports UFC 3’ holds on to No2, while heavyweights ‘FIFA 18’ and ‘GTA V’ are non-movers at No’s 4 and 5 respectively. ‘Call of Duty: WWII’ falls 3 places to No6 – the first time it has dropped outside the Top 5. Nintendo Switch favourites ‘Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’ and ‘Super Mario Odyssey’ are both non-movers at No’s 7 and 8 respectively, while price promotion on ‘Assassin’s Creed Origins’ helps push it back in to the Top 10, up from No15 to No9. Strong retailer price promotion on ‘The Evil Within 2’ and ‘Overwatch: Game of the Year Edition’ propel them both back in to the chart, re-entering at No’s 10 and 13 respectively. The release of ‘Dragon Quest Builders’ for Switch means the Square developed game also breaks back in to the Top 40 at No31.
