Bell X1 Ring The Changes

Bell X1 debut at No1 on the Albums Chart this week with their third album ‘Flock’, well ahead of the No30 debut of their first album ‘Neither Am I’ in 2000 and the No15 debut of their second album ‘Music In Mouth’ in 2003.

Katie Melua holds at No2 for a second week with ‘Piece By Piece’, closely followed at No3 by this week’s next new entry – Aslan’s ‘Platinum Collection’. This is Aslan’s 7th album in 17 years, with all 7 making the Top 10 and 4 debuting at No1. The Prodigy complete the trio of new entries at the top end of the chart, with ‘Their Law – The Singles 1990-2005’ coming in at No4, despite their 3 previous albums debuting in the Top 3. The Sugababes make it three weeks in a row at the top of the Singles Chart with ‘Push The Button’, followed for a third week by The Pussycat Dolls ‘Don’t Cha’ at No2 and Kanye West ‘Gold Digger’ at No3. In a quiet week for new releases, the highest new entry is at No15 for McFly with ‘I Wanna Hold You’, their 7th Top 30 single in Ireland in just 18 months.
