With the Top 5 unchanged from last week, Westlife make it five weeks at No1 on the Singles Chart with ‘You Raise Me Up’, ahead of Madonna, Black Eyed Peas, Dustin and Pussycat Dolls.
Behind the non-movers at No6 is 50 Cent with this week’s highest new entry ‘Window Shopper’, the first single from the ‘Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ soundtrack. This is his fourth Irish Top 10 single this year, on the heels of 3 taken from his ‘Massacre’ album – ‘Candy Shop’, ‘Just A Lil’ Bit’ and ‘Outta Control’ (which is at No13 this week after 11 weeks in the Top 20). The only other new entry in this week’s Top 20 is Gorillaz ‘Dirty Harry’ at No19, their third single from ‘Demon Days’ and their fifth Top 30 single in Ireland in four and a half years. Mario Rosenstock has a third week at No1 on the Album Chart with ‘Gift Grub 6’, followed at No2 by Westlife ‘Face To Face’ and at No3 by Il Divo ‘Ancora’, up one place from No4 last week. System Of A Down have this week’s highest new entry at No10 with ‘Hypnotize’, part two of a 2-album set – the first part ‘Mezmerize’ debuted at No2 in May this year. Enya has the next new entry at No16 with her 6th studio album ‘Amarantine’, five years after her previous album ‘A Day Without Rain’ came in at No7 in November 2000.
