EA’s ‘Need for Speed: Most Wanted’ secures an 8th week at No1 in the All Formats Chart, but strong retailer promotion of Ubisoft’s ‘King Kong: Official Game of the Movie’ denies EA the top 2 spots.
Ubisoft’s movie tie-in jumps back to No2 from No4, settling on the runner-up position for the 4th time since its launch. ‘The Sims 2’ from EA drops down one place from No2 to No3. It is a good week for Activision as 2 of their games re-enter the All Formats Top 10 – ‘Star Wars: Battlefront II’ (PS2/PSP/XB/PC) climbs 6 places from No13 to No7 and ‘Call of Duty 2’ (360/PC) jumps from No15 to No9 (achieving its highest All Formats chart position since its launch when it also reached No9). This week’s only new entry, EA’s ‘Ridge Racer 6’ (360), debuts at No25.
