EA takes over the All Formats Top 10 this week with ‘FIFA Street 2’ becoming the US giant’s 3rd different All Formats No1 of the year, knocking their own title ‘Black’ down to No2.
EA now have 7 games in the All Formats Top 10 with 3 new releases bombarding the Top 5: ‘FIFA Street 2’ at No1, ‘The Sims 2: Open for Business’ at No3 and ‘Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II’ at No5. Codemasters’ ‘Toca Race Driver 3’, down from No2 to No4, is the only title between EA and a clean-sweep of the Top 7 positions. There are now 2 ‘FIFA’ games and 2 ‘Sims’ titles in the Top 10 as ‘FIFA 06’ and ‘The Sims 2’ both drop one place, down to No7 and No8 respectively. There are strong performances from mid-price games ‘World Series of Poker’ from Activision, new at No16 in its 2nd week of release and ‘Midway Arcade Treasures: Extended Play’ on PSP also in its 2nd week, new at No23. Not all new releases this week are from EA as Atari’s MMORPG ‘Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach’ rolls in at No18.
