Lara enjoys a third week on top of the All Formats Entertainment Top 40 at the end of the Easter break. Sales of ‘Tomb Raider: Legend’ may have dropped by half, but there still remains a large gap (around 28,000 units) between No1 and ‘Ice Age 2: The Meltdown’, frozen at No2.
EA’s top performers ‘FIFA Street 2’ and ‘The Godfather’ both slip one place to No4 and No5 respectively, paving the way for Nintendo’s DS game ‘Animal Crossing: Wild World’ to gain 3 places, up from No6 to No3. ‘The Sims 2: Family Fun Stuff’ is the only Top 40 game to gain sales this week with a 5% increase propelling EA’s hugely popular franchise back into the Top 10, up from No13 to No6. There are 3 ‘Sims 2’ games in the top 30 with the original ‘The Sims 2’ at No12 and add-on ‘The Sims 2: Open for Business’ at No21. Three new releases make it into the All Formats Top 40 this week: Sony’s PS2 ‘Socom 3: US Navy SEALs’ shoots its way to No22 with PSP exclusive brother-in-arms ‘Socom: US Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo’ sneaking in at No38. The first ever MMORPG for Xbox 360 ‘Final Fantasy XI Online’ enables Square/Ubisoft’s newly updated game (originally released on PC in 2004) to squeeze in to the Top 40 at No40.
