FIFA 07 in a league of its own

09/Oct/2006

‘FIFA 07’ is top of the league for a second week with sales netting more than the next 7 all formats games combined. ‘FIFA 07’ remains in a league of its own despite sales dropping by 29% on last week, while ‘Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy’ battles its way back up the chart from No4 to No2.

‘Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07’ stays at No3 for a third week while Eidos drop 2 places with ‘Just Cause’ slipping from No2 to No4. Square-Enix’s ‘Kingdom Hearts II’ remains at No5, while THQ’s ‘Cars’, up from No8 to No6, overtakes stable mate ‘Company of Heroes’ - a non-mover at No7. ‘Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training’ is another game showing longevity, up 2 places from No10 to No8 in its 18th week of release. Codemasters slip from No6 to No9, dropping 42% in sales and almost suffer relegation from the All Formats Top 10 with ‘LMA Manager 2007’. There are 6 DS exclusive games in the All Formats Top 40 this week. Of special note is Nintendo’s own ‘42 All-Time Classics’ which is this week’s highest climber, up 19 places from No36 to No17. Also noteworthy is ‘Zoo Tycoon DS’ from THQ which is the highest re-entry at No29, plus the DS Internet browser also released this week (but not in the Top 40).. There is no change at the top of each of the individual charts with last week’s No1’s remaining the same. There is only one new entry to make the All Formats Top 40 as Konami’s ‘Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence’ on PS2 sneaks in at No34.
