2K Games/Take 2’s ‘Bioshock’ doesn’t lose its grip on the top spot in the All Formats Chart despite a 39% drop in sales and a strong opening drive from EA’s ‘Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08’ which debuts behind it at No2.
EA’s multi-format flagship golf game records 42% of sales on Xbox 360 and 32% on Nintendo Wii, teeing off at No2 behind ‘Bioshock’ in the Xbox 360 Chart and No3 in the Wii Chart. A resurgent ‘Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree’ climbs from No23 to No6 thanks to renewed stock, while Ubisoft’s ‘Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2’ sneaks back up the chart from No10 to No7. ‘Stuntman: Ignition’ from THQ starts its engines at No9 in the All Formats Chart, while the PC expansion packs from Sega (‘Medieval II: Total War – Kingdoms’) and NCSoft (‘Guild Wars: Eye of the North’) debut at Nos 16 and 18 respectively. Unlike ‘Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree’ a lack of stock pushes ‘Wii Play’ out of the Top 10 from No5 to No26. EA’s new IP ‘Boogie’ gets on the dance floor at No28 (No5 in the Wii Chart), just behind another EA game ‘Madden NFL 08’ which enters the All Formats Top 40 at No27 for the first time in its second week, thanks to the launch of the Xbox 360 and Wii versions. The only other new release to make the All Formats Top 40 is THQ’s ‘Worms: Open Warfare 2’ on DS and PSP, in at No38.
