Hitman No1 for 2nd week

10/May/2004

‘Hitman: Contracts’ (PS2/XB/PC) does one better than its predecessor ‘Hitman 2: Silent Assassin’ by holding on to the No1 spot in the All Formats Chart for a second week with the PS2 version nearly doubling in sales.

EA’s Euro 2004 tie-in ‘UEFA Euro 2004 Portugal’ (PS2/XB/PC) enters at No2 while Atari’s critically acclaimed ‘Transformers Armada: Prelude to Energon’ (PS2) is a new entry at No5, which means there are now titles from 6 different publishers in the All Formats Top10. The ‘Sasser’ virus has had a big impact on the Charts as there are now 3 different anti-virus titles in the All Formats Top 20 with ‘Norton Internet Security 2004’ up from No4 to No3, ‘Norton Antivirus 2004’ (PC) up from No24 to No8 and ‘McAfee Internet Security V6.0’ (PC) up from No36 to No19. Codemasters’ ‘Toca Race Driver 2’ (XB/PC) moves in the other direction down from No3 to No7: however, Codemasters still have 2 titles in the All Formats Top 10 with ‘England International Football 2004’ (PS2/XB) only falling one place from No8 to No9. Eidos’ ‘Hitman 2: Silent Assasin’ (PS2/XB/PC/GC) has another great week alongside its sequel, up 10 places from No34 to No24.
