‘FIFA 09’ holds on to No1 in the All Formats Chart as the top 3 are all non-movers for a second consecutive week. However, the gap between FIFA and ‘Call of Duty: World at War’ at No2 has now shrunk from 5,000 to 400 units.
EA’s ‘Need for Speed: Undercover’ sticks at No3 as sales of almost all Top 40 titles more than halve. ‘Wii Fit’ is a notable exception, star jumping up the chart from No20 to No4, no doubt boosted by some well-intentioned New Year resolutions to shed pounds gained over Christmas. All Top 40 games lose sales, but ‘Wii Fit’ only drops by 1%, topping the Wii Chart for the first time since week 44 2008. The remaining Top 10 games all shuffle places, except ‘Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures’ which re-enters the Top 10 after a 6 month absence, up from No17 to No9, benefiting from competitive retailer pricing.
