Flying Start for Bell X1

Bell X1 continue their successful streak on the Album Chart, debuting at No1 with their fourth studio album ‘Blue Lights On The Runway’, matching the No1 debut for their previous studio album ‘Flock’ in October 2005.

Lady Gaga drops to No2 with ‘The Fame’ after two weeks on top, ahead of this week’s next new entry for The Prodigy at No3 with ‘Invaders Must Die’ – the same debut position as their previous album ‘Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned’ nearly five years ago. Prior to that they landed two No1 albums: ‘Music For The Jilted Generation’ (1994) and ‘The Fat Of The Land’ (1997). Lady Gaga returns to the top of the Singles Chart this week after just one week away, but now it’s ‘Poker Face’ that takes the crown despite being only available as a download. U2’s 20th No1 single ‘Get On Your Boots’ slips a place to No2 after just one week on top, ahead of Lady Gaga’s ‘Just Dance’, which remains steady at No3 and Bell X1’s ‘The Great Defector’ which climbs back up a place from No5 to No4. There’s just one new entry in this week’s Top 20 – T.I. and Justin Timberlake’s ‘Dead And Gone’ at No13.
