Gaga Again!

17/Apr/2009

While many albums leave the top spot on the Album Chart only to return again a few weeks later not many make the trip back up to the top as many times as Lady Gaga’s ‘The Fame’ which returns to No1 on the Chart for a fourth time this week – up a place from last week’s No2. Snow Patrol’s 2006 ‘Eyes Open’ did actually go one better returning to the top spot five times in its chart history.

Eoghan Quigg loses his chart crown after one week, dropping back to No2 while Beyoncé climbs 2 places from last week's No5 to this week's No3 with ‘I Am …Sasha Fierce’. Jason Mraz takes a big leap up the Chart from No50 to No15 with ‘We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things’ on the back of his Dublin show last week. The Singles Chart sees no change at the top as A.R.Rahman & The Pussycat Dolls hold onto the No1 spot for a second week with ‘Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny)’. Nos 2 & 3 swap places with Lady Gaga rising to No2 as the physical formats of ‘Poker Face’ are released and Flo Rida & Ke$ha’ s ‘Right Round’ dropping to No3. Calvin Harris moves into the Top 10 as ‘I’m Not Alone’ also gets a physical release this week – moving up from No14 to No6.
