Driving games top the charts

‘Need for Speed: Underground’ (PS2/XB/GC/PC) from EA is still in the lead in the All Formats Chart, holding onto No1 for a 3rd week, but in the rear-view mirror is Take 2’s ‘Grand Theft Auto: Double Pack’ (XB/PS2) accelerating up 5 places from No7 to No2 with the Xbox version making nearly 80% of the sales.

‘Grand Theft Auto: Double Pack’ stays at No1 in the Xbox Chart, meaning the Top 3 Xbox titles are all car racing titles for the 2nd week running. ‘Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004’ (PS2/XB/PC/GBA) re-enters the Top 10, up from No12 to No9, giving EA 6 of the Top 10 in the All Formats Chart. After its Christmas week heroics, the title to fall the most in the Top 10 All Formats Chart is ‘Medal of Honor: Rising Sun’ (PS2/XB/GC), which is down 5 places from No3 to No8. The PC Chart is still headed by ‘Norton Internet Security 2004’ but EA’s ‘Sims’ games still make up 3 of the Top 5 in the PC Full Price Chart. In a good sales week for Rockstar/Take 2, their controversial ‘Manhunt’ (PS2) is the highest climber in the All Formats Top 40, up 13 places from No29 to No16.
