Still Gleeful

The Glee Cast hold at No1 on the Album Chart for a second week with their first volume of songs from the TV show, ahead of hardy perennials Paolo Nutini, Florence & The Machine and Lady Gaga at No2, No3 and No4 respectively – three albums which have collectively racked up a massive 132 weeks in the chart.

On the day that would have marked his 78th birthday, Johnny Cash has this week’s highest new entry at No5 with the posthumously-released ‘American VI: Ain’t No Grave’ – the Man in Black’s final recordings before his death in September 2003.  This week’s only other new entry comes from Welsh singer-songwriter Marina & The Diamonds at No9 with her debut album ‘The Family Jewels’.

Jedward & Vanilla Ice take a third week at No1 on the Singles Chart with ‘Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby)’, consigning Helping Haiti’s charity release ‘Everybody Hurts’ to a second week at No2.  Jason Derulo has this week’s highest new entry at No3 with his second single ‘In My Head’, the follow up to last year’s ‘Whatcha Say’ which reached No5 in November.  The latest incarnation of Sugababes has the next new entry at No9 with ‘Wear My Kiss’, the 22nd Top 30 hit single for the girl-brand in Ireland.
