Enrique Iglesias has this week’s highest climber, up sixteen places from No22 to No6 with ‘I Like It’ (feat. Pitbull), his seventh Irish Top 10 single including ‘Hero’ which spent two weeks at the top in 2002. In a quiet week for new entries, the highest debut is at No24 for J90’s independently-released ‘Take Control’, the Cork band’s first appearance in the Irish Charts.
Eminem continues to dominate the Album Chart as ‘Recovery’ takes a second week at No1. Mumford & Sons’ ‘Sigh No More’ is a non-mover at No2, just ahead of Lady Gaga at No3 and Black Eyed Peas who jump from No16 to No4 with their price-promoted ‘The E.N.D’. The Scissor Sisters have this week’s highest new entry at No11 with their third album ‘Night Work’. Their eponymous debut climbed to No1 in August 2004 six months after release, and the follow-up ‘Ta-Dah’ debuted at the top two years later.
