Katy & Snoop Still California Dreamin’

Katy Perry continues to dominate the Singles Chart, holding at No1 for a fourth consecutive week since the release of ‘California Gurls’ (feat. Snoop Dogg) – equalling the four weeks she spent at No1 with ‘I Kissed A Girl’ two years ago.

B.o.B. & Hayley Williams narrow the gap but fail to catch the leader, holding at No2 for a second week with ‘Airplanes’, ahead of Eminem & Rihanna who climb back to No3 with ‘Love The Way You Lie’.  Australian duo Yolanda Be Cool with producer D Cup climb thirteen places into this week’s Top 10, up from No18 to No5 with ‘We No Speak Americano’ – a Top 10 track around most of Northern Europe.  There are just three new entries in this week’s Top 30: Mark Ronson & The Business Intl at No20 with ‘Bang Bang Bang’, Professor Green feat. Lily Allen at No21 with ‘Just Be Good To Green’ and finally The Coronas at No26 with ‘Someone Else’s Hands’ – their sixth Irish hit single.

Eminem holds at No1 on the Album Chart for a fourth week with ‘Recovery’ - the first album to spend more than three consecutive weeks on top since Michael Jackson’s ‘The Essential’ a year ago.  Behind Eminem sit two albums which have taken up residency in the Top 10 for the past six months: Mumford & Sons ‘Sigh No More’ up from No3 to No2 and Florence & The Machine ‘Lungs’, up from No7 to No3.  English singer-songwriter Eliza Doolittle has this week’s only Top 20 new entry at No10 with her self-titled debut album, although there are new entries further down for Janelle Monae ‘The ArchAndroid’ (No24) and Tired Pony ‘The Place We Ran From’ (No27).
