Bruno Mars Rockets to No1


Bruno Mars achieves his first Irish No1 Single this week as ‘Just The Way You Are’ climbs from No3 to the top of the Chart. Tinie Tempah drops down to No2 with ‘Written In The Stars (feat. Eric Turner)’ while The Script also drop a place to No3 with ‘For The First Time’.

The Swedish House Mafia, joining up with Tinie Tempah, claim this week’s highest new entry with their second single release - ‘Miami 2 Ibiza’ -  which enters  the chart at No7.  Their debut single ‘One (Your Name)’ also made it to No7.  After announcing his return to Take That , Robbie Williams releases his first collaboration with an old band member - Gary Barlow - and achieves a Top 10 new entry as ‘Shame’ enters at No8.  The Glee Cast again see a host of titles in the Chart – with ‘Toxic’ moving up into the Top 20 to No17.   With 4 other titles in this week’s Top 50 they have now had an impressive 51 titles in the Chart this year.

The Script’s  ‘Science & Faith’ holds on at the top of this week’s Album Chart to make it four weeks in a row at No1 – the only other album apart from Eminem’s ‘Recovery’ to achieve this in 2010. Tinie Tempah  sees ‘Disc-Overy’ - his first album release since signing to Parlophone  - entering the chart at No2 as Imelda May occupies the next two positions - ‘Mayhem’ drops a place to No3 while ‘Love Tattoo’ climbs two places to No4. Waterford’s O Emperor also gain a Top 10 new entry with their debut album. ‘Hither Thither’ entering at No6.
