Jay-Z & Linkin Park still at No. 1

Jay-Z and Linkin Park's 'Numb/Encore' holds at No1 on the Singles Chart for a second week, with a comfortable margin over Gwen Stefani's 'What You Waiting For?' (up from No3 to No2) and Green Day's 'Boulevard Of Broken Dreams' (down from No2 to No3). Elvis Presley claims this week's highest new entry at No15 with 'One Night' - the third in a series of re-releases following 'Jailhouse Rock' and 'All Shook Up' last week. more


All change at the top

After 6 weeks in the Top 20, including 3 weeks at No2, Jay-Z and Linkin Park's 'Numb/Encore' finally climbs to the top spot of the first Singles Chart of the New Year. Green Day also continue a steady climb up the chart, up from No3 to No2 this week with 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams'. Gwen Stefani's first solo single 'What You Waiting For?' is up to No3 from No5, followed at No4 by last week's No1 - Band Aid 20's 'Do They Know It's Christmas. This week's sole Top 20 new entry is Iron Maiden's 'The Number Of The Beast' at No11, 23 years after it was first released in May 1982. more
