Bruno Uno

After debuting at No1 on the Singles Chart last week with ‘Grenade’, Bruno Mars takes the Album Chart crown as well this week with ‘Doo-Wops & Hooligans’ – the first artist to claim the double since The Script back in September last year. The album was released in many other territories in October, when sales of the import propelled it to No29 on the Irish Album Chart. more


Bruno Explodes At No1

Bruno Mars breaks the post-Christmas deadlock on the Singles Chart this week, debuting at No1 with ‘Grenade’ less than three months after his previous release ‘Just The Way You Are’ spent three weeks on top. more


Rihanna Turns Up The Volume

Rihanna’s 2010 success story continues into the New Year, with ‘Loud’ taking a second week at No1 on the first Album Chart of 2011, and three tracks from the album still featuring in this week’s Top 20 Singles Chart. more


Cardle Crowned Chart King 2010

Matt Cardle holds at No1 on the final Singles Chart of the year with ‘When We Collide’, and in the process he claims the top-selling single of 2010 in Ireland despite being on release for only eighteen days. During this brief period he has amassed nearly 100,000 sales, placing him fifth in the modern rankings (post 1990) – behind Elton John (Candle In the Wind), Bill Whelan (Riverdance) , Six (Whole Lot Of Loving Going On) and Mark McCabe (Maniac 2000). more
