Atomic debut for U2

No surprises on the Albums Chart this week as U2 storm in at No1 with 'How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb', which is the 3rd fastest-selling album since Chart-Track records began in 1992, behind two of their previous albums: 'Best Of 1980-1990' (1998) and 'All That You Can't Leave Behind' (2000). more


Destiny Fulfilled

After 2 weeks at No3, a 17% increase in sales is enough to lift Destiny's Child's 'Lose My Breath' to the top of the Singles Chart - their 2nd No1 single in Ireland following 'Survivor' which spent a week at the top in April 2001. more


Vertigo debuts at the top for U2

U2 debut at No1 on the Singles Chart with 'Vertigo' - their 18th No1 single in Ireland over a period of 19 years, and their first No1 since 'Elevation' back in July 2001. Eminem's 'Just Lose It' holds for a second week at No2 and Destiny's Child remain at No3 for a second week with 'Lose My Breath'. more


US singles chart invasion

After several quiet weeks on the Singles Chart, this week's Top 10 is shaken up by no less than 5 new entries - all from big-name US acts. Britney Spears debuts at No1 with her remake of the Bobby Brown classic 'My Prerogative' - her sixth Irish No1 single and her third this year. Just behind Britney at No2 is Eminem's 'Just Lose It' and at No3 Destiny's Child debut with 'Lose My Breath'. Christina Aguilera and Missy Elliott have the fourth new entry at No6 with 'Car Wash' (from Shark Tale) and Usher has the fifth new entry at No7 with double A-side 'Confessions Part II/My Boo'. Flying the flag for Belgium is this week's highest climber Danzel, up from No24 to No8 with 'Pump It Up'. more
