JLS have already shown that TV talent show runners-up can achieve chart success, having spent the last two weeks at No1 on the Album Chart, and this week it’s Susan Boyle’s turn to debut at the top, seven months after she came second to Diversity in the third series of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’. ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ is the fastest-selling debut album in Ireland since Leona Lewis ‘Spirit’ two years ago. more



The X-Factor’s contribution to music sales in Ireland continues this week as the 2009 Finalists’ version of Michael Jackson’s ‘You Are Not Alone’ debuts at No1 on the Singles Chart – emulating the achievement of last year’s finalists who hit the top spot with ‘Hero’. more



JLS land at No1 on this week’s Irish Album Chart with their self-titled debut album, one place higher than the No2 debut for Alexandra Burke’s ‘Overcome’ three weeks ago – a victory of sorts for the runners-up over the show’s winner on last year’s X-Factor. more

Cheryl Cole takes a third week at No1 on the Singles Chart with ‘Fight For This Love’, heading a Top 3 with a distinctly X-Factor flavour: last year’s runner-up JLS debut at No2 with ‘Everybody In Love’ and last year’s winner Alexandra Burke holds at No3 with ‘Bad Boys’. more
