The Force Of Gravity

Westlife return to chart-topping form with the release of their eleventh album ‘Gravity’ debuting at No1 on this week’s Album Chart. Of the previous ten, all made the top spot except for 2004’s ‘Allow Us To Be Frank’ and last year’s ‘Where We Are’ which both stalled at No2. more


That’s Progress

Take That release their sixth studio album ‘Progress’ this week and go straight to No1. It’s their first release with Robbie since 1995’s ‘Nobody Else’ and continues their winning streak of No1’s that began with ‘Everything Changes’ in 1993. more


Rihanna Rules

Rihanna takes a second week at No1 on the Singles Chart with ‘Only Girl (In The World)’, five years after her first hit ‘Pon De Replay’ reached No2. Since then she’s amassed a further twenty appearances, including fifteen Top 10’s, making her the most successful solo artist on this chart over the period. Only the Glee Cast claim a higher tally – thirty Top 30 hits in less than a year. more


Bon Jovi Back At No1

Bon Jovi debut at No1 on this week’s Album Chart with their ‘Greatest Hits’ – their first No1 in Ireland since 1995 when ‘These Days’ spent four weeks at the top. In the intervening years they’ve released five studio albums, all of which have debuted in the Top 10 – the highest being ‘Crush’ which landed at No3 in 2000. more
